The videogames market get 1.083 million euros in Spain during the last year, which supposes a 8,7% increasing regarding the figures on the previous year, when the sector got nearly 966 million euros. The Spanish Association of Videogames (AEVI) analysed the trade and consume figures on this category and concluded that expectation is positive compared to previous years.
Actually, the sector invoiced near 87 million more than in the last term and, generally, it saw huge increasing on the online sector. In that sense, the videogames physical sales got 791 million euros, meanwhile the videogame downloading got an invoiced value of 292 million euros, compared to the 241 registered in 2014. According to AEVI, these figures are reflected in the consolidation of the videogames market, as well as its position as one of the firsts categories within audiovisual free time.
According to the published data, Spanish spent last year 334 million euros buying hardware on the Internet, which supposes an increasing of 11,2% regarding 2014; and 104 million euros in accessories, 15,4% more than in the last exercise. However, hardware physical sales registered 352 million euros in 2015, therefore it was a 3,3% decreasing.
