Consumer confidence takes a step back| CBME, Shanghai Children Baby Maternity Industry Expo

The consumer confidence took 6,3 points a step back compared to the previous month till reaching 91 points, that’s why it reaches its worst level since last May. Moreover, those data contrast with the 2,5 points increasing registered in August. The September fall answers to factors such as the decreasing of expectation and the current situation value by citizens, according to data published by ‘Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas’ (CIS).

Regarding the consumers valuation, the Current Situation Index has already taken a step forward compared to August, reaching this way 83,8 points, with a negative behaviour in its three components: the general evolution of economy, the employment and the homes situation. On its behalf, the expectation index also decreased 6,3 points in September compared to the previous year, till situating itself in 98,1 points, its lowest level since April 2016. Its three components also registered decreasing, specially the expectation related to the employment market, which decreased 7,6 points.
