Chinese Parents Spend Most When their Child is 0-24 months

On average, Chinese parents spend US$ 157 every month on their child. This includes purchases such as infant formula, baby food, baby diapers, baby feeding items, baby health care products, baby clothes, toys, strollers, care seats and furniture etc.

The recent Children Baby Maternity Products Consumer Research published by UBM China (Hangzhou) shows that it is during 0-24 months, Chinese parents spend more. The older their child gets, the less the expenditure. This is true in key China cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, even second tier city in Chengdu.
