(Shanghai, China, 30 Aug, 2016) Organized by UBM China, Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai 2016 – China's premier trade event for kids' fashion closed its three-day fair at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), China. The fair featured more than 70 international and local fashion brands from 18 countries participating in this show, to name a few: B. DUCK (Hong Kong), CCILU (Japan), COCOLICO (France), LAB BY BABY (Korea), Metro Kids Company (Portugal), MIM-PI (Netherlands), OVERKIDS (Italy), RIA (Spain), SHADEZ (Switzerland), Tip Toey Joey (Brazil), and more.
The fair brought together retailers, distributors, department stores, property developers, franchisees, e-commerce channels and other professional fashion buyers to find new kids fashion brands, spot the fashion trends and establish new business connections.
Noor Almoosa, a buyer from Tooty Girly Boutique (Dubai, UAE) who visited the fair for the very first time commented: “These brands at Cool Kids Fashion and their collections are very trendy. I have exchanged business contact with many suppliers and will contact them shortly after returning to my country.”
Mr. Zhang Zhewen, General Manager of Ningbo Jayden Clothing Trading Co., Ltd. said, “We have introduced a leading British brand “Emile et Rose” to China via Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai. Key buyers from various parts of China have expressed interest in the brand and collections. Through Cool Kids Fashion, we find more business partners in the country.”
Highlights of the show included:
· Over 1,035 entries were received for the Kids Fashion Design Contest. Top 20 finalists’ designs and creations displayed at Kids Fashion Design Contest Gallery. Bowen Zheng from a student Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology won top prize with his “Attitude of Dreamers” collection.
· Business Matching sessions were organized for Kids Fashion Design finalists to introduce them to brands seeking young talents and potential business partners. A networking/ business matching session was organized to connect the Cool Kids Fashion exhibitors with China key buyers.
· Four major Kids Fashion Shows were presented with the latest collection. Leading kids fashion brands from Spain presented the latest collection. Paola Davinci also launched their latest collection at the show. While another fashion show featured Angle’s Face (UK), Babybol (Spain), Blaa (Finland), MAYA (USA), PennyScallan (Australia) and Teddy Doctor (China) showcased collections at the Kids Fashion Shows.
· WGSN presented the 2017/2018 Fall-Winter Kidswear Trends at the Trend Forums: “Design Matters, Earthed, Nocturne & Infusion”. This timely kidswear forecast provided directions for all facets of kidswear including textiles, color, print & graphics and product development.
· Mr. Raj, Visual Merchandising Manager of H&M revealed his “Secrets of Displaying Kids Clothes”. This presentation helped industry experts improve their kids fashion management skills.
Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai is co-located with CBME China, the world’s largest trade fair for baby products. CBME China showcased full range of child, baby and maternity products in 223,305 exhibition space, with 3,673 brands from 2,366 suppliers, and 85,111 visitors.
