In a recent visit to the UK, the Chinese president Xi Jinping announced in a formal way that the british entertainment company Merlin had signed an agreement with China Media Capital to build a Legoland in Shanghai.
Apart from this new project, Merlin has already five attractions around China, including Madame Tussauds, Chang Fend Ocean World and another three about to open in the next 18 months.
The partnership also considers building on existing Merlin brands such as The Dungeons and new concepts such as Draemworks Tours – Kung Fu Panda Adventures.
